Travel Must Haves – 2022

Traveling is a wonderful way to refuel your tank, find inspiration, and to make memories that last lifetime. However, packing is none of things so I have put together a list of must haves to make the task of preparing for travel easier. Here are my must haves when getting ready for that next trip.

Rolling Luggage Set

Navy Blue 3 piece luggage set

Everyone that travels needs a good rolling suitcase. For me I look for a non-black suitcase so mine will still out from the crowd. I also like to buy sets upfront so I know everything matches for my larger, longer trips. When they don’t match it just feels odds to have non-coordinating, mixed pieces. If you have a family buy this set in a couple different colors (one for each family member) and you’ll have it easy finding one’s things. These are fully lined, with two distinct sides for securing things so things don’t move about in transport. They are also hard shelled which I prefer so you can wipe them down after there journey through the airport.

Luggage Weight

How else can you know how much more you can cramp in your suitcase before paying a fee

I used to always stress that I would be overweight with my belongings and would worry if I could take my hairdryer or not. Or can I take that extra pair of shoes. I know longer worry because I can just weight my suitcase at home. Easy peasy.

Packing Cubes – All same size

Packing cubes keep all my clothes organized

I really like to use packing cubes. It keeps things from shifting and moving around and helps me group outfits by day or my event or theme. I can have a cube hold all my comfy clothes and pjs and then pack another for my night outs. It just works for me. Bonus tip when packing cubes – slightly over pack them, then press them and zip it all together. Kind of like those old infomercials for storing blankets.

Packing cubes – variety sizes

Cute printed design packing cubes

For quick trips where I only have my carry-on, I pack these leopard cubes. It gives me the right variety of sizes to tuck everything from dress pants to undies nicely away.

Hanging Toiletry Bag

This is great for all those skincare products and more

I love to match and I use this hanging toiletry bag which matches the cute cubes above. I put my toothpaste, tooth brush, and all my hair and skin products in this. It makes for a quick unpack in the room as you can hang it on a towel rod or a robe hook.

Travel Makeup Brush Bag

My favorite way to travel with my makeup brushes

At home I use a super cute jar for my makeup brushes but that doesn’t work for travel so I use this well laid out travel case to keep my brushes separate from my makeup and clean.

Laptop Backpack

My favorite backpack ever

This is my favorite travel backpack but I also use it everyday when commuting to and from work. What makes this backpack great is that it opens up where you can see easily to the bottom of the bag so getting stuff out is so easy. But also when in the airport there is a strap where you can just slip this on top of your carry-on handle. So you can move about the airport with all your go-to stuff in your back pack without the weight on your back. Plus, the floral print makes this so much better than a plain black one!

Clear Shoe Bags

Keep your clothes from touching the bottom of your shoes and make finding what you need fast!

Portable Charger

This charger is the best one for travel. Its pretty small, comes with different cord adapters and can be exchanged for fully charged fuel rods (portable batteries) at places you may be visiting. They have kiosks in many airports, theme parks, etc.

Sleep Eye Mask

My all time favorite sleep mask

This is just a simple silk sleep mask. But it does it’s job wonderfully. It is adjustable but does not rely on velcro that can get caught in hair. It’s great for hotel rooms or for catching some zzzz’s on the plane.

There you have it! These are my ultimate travel essentials! Now, I ask you…what do you take with you on every trip?
